There is no magic muscle releasing device… So what do I use and why?
I get asked all of the time.  What do I think of the latest gadgets.  Do I like the Theragun, knobby rollers, special fascial balls, u shaped psoas torture devices etc…  There are so many devices out there what is good?  Are they worth the hype?
So, I explain it as these devices are all potential tools in your toolbox of myofascial release.  Just like you wouldn’t pick a screwdriver for a hammers job on a construction site you want to pick the right thing for the job you are looking for on your body.  For example the vibration guns are good for chilling out overworked groups that got “pumped up” in your workout but are not the best job for short or tight muscles from positional sitting.  Foam rollers are good for more of a flushing technique but not as good in some places for the neuromuscular or stopping on spots for time technique.  I have a good video that explains those techniques on my YouTube.  The key is not just treating symptoms but actually working on the cause and using the device or technique that is appropriate for your bodies needs.
